DR. JAMI HEYTING
Dr. Heyting (she/her/hers) received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Certificate in Natural Childbirth from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Heyting completed a year-long rotation in collaborative mental health care at the Pacific Psychology & Comprehensive Health Clinic, an interdisciplinary clinic administered jointly by NUNM and Pacific University. The focus of her clinical education also included rotations in women’s health, midwifery, pediatrics, and transgender health. Prior to professional study, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Psychology, worked with psychiatric populations at the state hospital and OHSU, and completed additional coursework in addiction studies. In 2022, she became a 200 hour RYT, completed an additional 95 hour certification in trauma-informed children's yoga, and has her sights set on adding Yoga Therapy into her scope of practice; she also has plans to eventually complete additional clinical training to attain licensure as a Naturopathic Midwife.
Dr. Heyting is also an AuDHDer, mom of four, and native Oregonian, having lived most of her life in the Willamette Valley. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, and camping, and spending time with her neurodivergent, 2e (twice exceptional) family. It was the experiences that she and her family encountered living in a neurotypical world that ignited her passion to serve fellow neurodivergent folk. She knows, understands, and values people with unique brains and different ways of looking at the world, so be assured that you and your lived experiences will be validated, and you will receive the respect and understanding you deserve.
